Lukaku is an upside-down pigeon for whom everything is history. Because he can look behind all the things, he reveals the back of the mind of a useless shop clerk while she learns how to simultaneously dream and work under the guidance of a poet.

synopsis

The Shadow Workers is a documentary fable in which the upside-down-pigeon Lukaku tells us a story about Usman and the Dutch Good-for-nothing. Usman works in a night shop and can only sleep during the day when the Good for nothing works in a honey shop. Together, they embody the non-stop working rhythm of the world we live in today. Lukaku takes us on an anthropological journey, reflecting on the role of dreams in the lives of these two working humans in the city of Ghent.
Les travailleurs cachés est une fable-documentaire dans laquelle le pigeon-à-l’envers nommé Lukaku nous raconte l’histoire d’Usman et de la Bonne-à-rien néerlandaise. Usman travaille dans une épicerie de nuit et ne peut dormir que pendant la journée, lorsque la Bonne-à-rien travaille dans un magasin de miel. Ensemble, ils incarnent le rythme de travail ininterrompu du monde dans lequel nous vivons aujourd’hui. L’oiseau Lukaku nous emmène dans un voyage anthropologique, réfléchissant sur le rôle des rêves dans la vie de ces deux humains-travailleurs de la ville de Gand.
De Schaduwwerkers is een fabel-documentaire waarin de andersomduif genaamd Lukaku ons het verhaal vertelt over Usman en de Nederlandse Nietsnut. Usman werkt in een nachtwinkel en kan alleen overdag slapen wanneer de Nietsnut in de honingwinkel werkt. Samen belichamen ze het non-stop werkritme van de
wereld waarin we nu leven. De duif Lukaku neemt ons mee op een antropologische reis en bezint zich over de rol van de dromen in het leven van deze twee werkende mensen in de stad Gent.
